Institute of Project Management Professionals Ghana (IPMP Ghana) is a duly constituted professional body established to promote excellence, ethics, and competence in project management in Ghana. The Institute is legally registered under the Professional Bodies Act of Ghana. It has a full mandate to regulate, standardise, and advance professional project management education and practice within the country.
As a recognised professional body, IPMP Ghana is authorised to:
- Develop and publish nationally relevant Project Management Standards and Frameworks;
- Accredit academic and professional programmes in project management and related disciplines;
- Certify and license project management professionals based on defined competency, ethics, and professional development requirements;
- Promote continuous professional development (CPD) and lifelong learning among practitioners;
- Serve as an advisory and reference institution on project management practice for public and private sector organisations.
The accreditation system of IPMP Ghana is anchored in competency-based education, professional ethics, and alignment with global best practices, while remaining responsive to Ghana’s socio-economic and institutional context. Accredited programmes are assessed against clearly defined academic, professional, and practical criteria to ensure relevance, rigour, and industry applicability.
