Prof. David Ackah (PhD) – Executive Director
David Ackah (PhD) is a Distinguished Professor of Project Management affiliated with several academic institutions, including UNEM International Programmes of Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica (UNEM), the University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (UBIDS), and Knutsford University, where he serves as Dean of Knutsford Business School. He is also an adjunct lecturer at multiple Ghanaian universities, including Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST), African University College of Communication (AUCC), Regent University College of Science & Technology (RUCST), and Texila American University (TAU).
Prof. Ackah is the author of five notable books on project management and has published over 40 research articles in international peer-reviewed journals. He holds multiple advanced degrees, including two PhD’s, one in Management (Project Management) from Universidad Central De Nicaragua and another in Project Planning and Community Development from Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica (UNEM). Additionally, he has an MPhil degree in Project Management Engineering and an MPhil in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, as well as a BSc in Oil and Gas Project Management Engineering. He is studying for a Master of Technology in Petroleum Engineering at Takoradi Technical University (TTU).
His professional qualifications include marketing, sales management, and project management diplomas from recognised UK and USA institutions. Prof. Ackah is a Professional Project Manager (PMP) certified by the Institute of Project Management Professionals (IPMP) Ghana, where he was the founding president and executive director.
He also serves as the Programmes Director of CETraC Limited, a project management consultancy in Ghana, and Executive Director of the Institute of Project Management Professionals Ghana, the Chartered Body for Project Management Professionals in Ghana. He has over a decade of consulting experience with organisations such as the World Bank, European Union, DANIDA, GIZ, USAID, UNDP, and the Government of Ghana. His expertise spans project development and planning, business development, procurement, community development, renewable energy projects, and public-private partnerships.
Prof. Ackah is recognised for his ability to develop strategic business solutions, foster team collaboration, and deliver successful project outcomes for both students and organisations.
