The Rt. Rev. Christopher Nyarkondam, a native of Agona Nsaba in the Central Region was born to Very Rev. Alfred Smith Andam and Mrs. Sarah Abena Gyambrah Andam of blessed memory. Christopher went through the candidature process for the ordained Ministry and entered the then Trinity College in 1989. He received training and was consequently commissioned in June 1992 at the Mt. Zion Methodist Chapel, Korle Gonno- Accra. After a three year probationed studies, he was ordained and received into full Connextion in 1995 at Bethel Methodist Chapel, Takoradi. Academically, The Rt. Rev. Christopher Nyarko Andam completed Trinity College, now Trinity Theological Seminary with a diploma in Theology and also certificate in Ministry. Six years after commissioning, he pursued further studies and was awarded Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Geography, Resource Development and Study of Religions from the University Of Ghana, Legon.
After working for another five years, he gained admissions into the University of Birmingham in UK to read MSc in Development Management on a scholarship granted by the Britain Methodist Church. He also pursued another course and earned a Post Graduate certificate in Missions awarded by the Queens College in Birmingham. Rt. Rev. Andam again studied for another Masters programme, MSc Business Administration (MBA), Human Resource option and specialized on Leadership at KNUST. Earlier on in 1996, The Rt. Rev. Andam had undergone a United Nations Management and Administrative Training by UNDP under the UNPR programme.
