Professional Bodies Approval: The Institute of Project Management Professionals is a Licensing and Regulatory Professional Body in Ghana, incorporated under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179) as a private Company limited by shares, duly registered as a Professional Body in accordance with the provisions of the Professional Bodies Registration Decree, 1973, National Revolutionary Council Degree 143 as Chartered Project Management Institute (CPMI) to train professionals in project management with NRCD Professional Bodies Registration No. PB 68.
Ministry of Education: The Institute of Project Management Professionals, is registered and approved by Ministry of Education (MOE) through the Ghana Education Service (GES) under the Section 17, Part V of the Education Act 1961 (Act 87), Amendment Act (Act 266) of 1965 and Act 778(28 of 2008) with Registration Number: GES/GAR/PT/BC.02/2017. Council for Technical and Vocational Education & Training: The Institute of Project Management Professionals is a registered TVET Training Center for Council for Technical and Vocational Education & Training (COTVET-Ghana) under the COVET L.I. 2195 of 2012 with a registration number: CT-TP0194/17. The Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) is a national body set up by an Act of Parliament of the Republic of Ghana to co-ordinate and oversee all aspects of technical and vocational education and training in the country. Their major objective is to formulate policies for skills development across the broad spectrum of pre-tertiary and tertiary education, formal, informal and non-formal sectors. National Board of Professional & Technical Examination (NABPTEX-Ghana): The Institute of Project Management Professionals is accredited and affiliate to National Board of Professional & Technical Examination (NABPTEX-Ghana) for mentoring and monitoring of its professional membership examinations. The National Board for Professional and Technician Examinations (NABPTEX) is one of three bodies with the mandate to regulate the tertiary education sector. Reconstituted in 2004, eleven years after its inauguration, is fully aware of the challenges and opportunities presented by current trends in Ghana’s tertiary education sector, as well as the need to position itself to enhance its value and relevance.
